Arboretum, laboratoire d'experimentation artistique

Eloi Calame is one of the curator of Arboretum, a multidisciplinary cultural event created in 2017 in Geneva. Its purpose is to provide to artists a platform for experimentation, where creativity and inventiveness are keywords, and thus create bridges between different forms of art (music, poetry, theater, performance, visual arts, etc.).

The format is as follows: each artist or group of artists is given carte blanche ranging from 10 to 30 minutes to take possession of the space and perform with audacity to surprise the audience. Some presented performances are in the process of development or are excerpts from longer pieces. This format allows artists to receive initial feedback on their work. Between 5 and 10 performances follow one another per edition. The project has already completed 30 editions and invited more than hundreds local and international artists.
