Arboretum, laboratoire d'experimentation artistique

Arboretum is a multidisciplinary cultural event created in 2017 in Geneva by Eloi Calame and Cassiane Pfund. Its purpose is to provide to artists a platform for experimentation, where creativity and inventiveness are keywords, and thus create bridges between different forms of art (music, poetry, theater, performance, visual arts, etc.).

The format is as follows: each artist or group of artists is given carte blanche ranging from 10 to 30 minutes to take possession of the space and perform with audacity to surprise the audience. Some presented performances are in the process of development or are excerpts from longer pieces. This format allows artists to receive initial feedback on their work. Between 5 and 10 performances follow one another per edition. The project has already completed 23 editions and invited more than hundreds local and international artists.
